A Hope For New Life

Sitting on the roof, Alfred swung his legs lazily over the ledge, smiling widely though his cloak down at the dark, dirty streets of the so called city. A couple of homeless people sleeping there who no longer had homes probably. He didn't pay them much mind as he turned his gaze up at the moon, feet not pausing in their seemingly endless rhythm.

Feli wandered the street eyes wide as every shadow turned into a giant monster with slavering fangs come to devour his flesh and drink his blood. He hadn't meant to get caught out here in the middle of the night with only a sliver of moon in the sky. He could see well enough, better than any human of course, but the dark was still really really scary!

He'd once been attacked by a gang of people in the dark, but he had closed his eyes as he waved a white flag frantically through the air and when he had opened his eyes everything had been okay again, but he would never forget how afraid he had been, and he'd heard stories before. Stories where the white flag didn't work and small wanderers ended up with fates worse than death, like being caught by the slavers, or becoming allergic to pasta!

Alfred heard the sound of soft, but somewhat jumpy footsteps below. He looked curiously below to see a small man walking through the alley. He definitely didn't belong, with the way he was obviously scared, staring wide eyed at the shadows or any sort of noise, whether from a cat moving along the garbage or a homeless person shifting to get more comfortable.

Watching the instantly deemed interesting person carefully, wondering if they would sense that somebody or something was watching them. But most didn't catch onto that, other then Matthew, who seemed to have some sort of sixth sense for that, probably so excited that somebody would be noticing him.

He kept running down the street, soon avoiding the sidewalk because it seemed busier than the street, filled with creepy toothless beggars and dirty homeless men who might trip him up as he ran. Where oh where could the hotel he checked into be located? He just couldn't seem to find it!

Feliciano nearly tripped over sewer grating at the edge of the street and he bit his lip as he stopped running to stare down at it. Something could be hiding down there, ready to grab him because his running disturbed it sleep, but no. Nothing was there because "Someone is watching you Feliciano." And now that he thought about it, he could feel it. Two eyes burning in the back of his neck, gazing down on him and tracking him through the night.

He froze, fighting the instinct to run. What if it gave chase? But then, he didn't know what to do if it approached him as he stood there either.

Alfred watched the other almost trip over a sewer grate and chuckled when the other looked at it like it was something that would eat him at a moment's notice. But the other was frozen now, maybe with fear. Alfred could understand that, what with the occasional late night horror film with evil ghosts that would- oh god what was that? He jumped a bit in shock, turning to look down at a plain black cat.

He stared at it in complete horror. It stared back. Oh god, ghost! He tried to stand to run away, but seeing as he was sitting on a building, he took a fall off of it, a short sound of shock leaving his throat before he fell onto - luckily - something soft. Hopefully not a homeless person.

Feli turned as he heard movement behind him to see someone dressed in a black cape falling from the sky and he was about to run, shouting his terror to the world when he noticed the cat. A cute little black kitty sitting below the falling man in the street, and as the man made contact with the earth his shoulder was driven into the majestic feline.
Feliciano stood there trembling with wide eyes as he approached the man splayed over the sidewalk and scooped a stick off the ground.

Poke.

He poked the man who he could now see was blonde with wire spectacle.

He whacked the blonde as hard as he could with the stick, "You meanie! Get off of the Kitty!"

Alfred yelped, sitting up and rubbing where he had been hit with the stick, "Ouch, what the hell?" He growled, glaring up at whoever had hurt him, missing the cat that he had landed on altogether, "I'm sorry if I fell on you but that's no reason to hit me with a stick!"

"No!" The Italian cried out, shaking his head vehemently, "Get off the cat! You're squishing!"

"Cat?" Alfred said for a moment, before narrowing his eyes, "Wait, are you calling me fat, because if you are, I will be so pissed at you you don't even want to know."

Where the hell is it!? Where the fuck did I put it!? Ivan knew he shouldn't even think like that, but he couldn't help it. He was used to thinking like that. It was a habit for him to curse.

Ivan was trying to find his journal, which seemed to have dropped somewhere, but he didn't know where, and he was quietly muttering curses under his breath because of that, and even the homeless people there looked at him with warning and angry eyes but he didn't care. He was so used to it.

He had been chaced out of many places during his life, and many look at it him like he would be a freak, and many people called him a freak. But he couldn't do anything about it. He was half demon and half angel after all.

Ivan was wearing a black cloack, that was hiding his wings, tail and horns.

Feliciano pouted, "I'm not calling you fat, but your squishing the cute little kitty. It's smaller than you are!"

"Oh, so you are calling me fat. Well thanks a lot ya jerk! I'll have you know I exercise like everyday. I can climb buildings, yeah I'm that awesome. I bet you don't even exercise every week. So there!" Alfred huffed, standing up, fixing his ruffled clothes, adjusting his cloak so it was on right and brushing dust off of him.

Ivan kept going until he could see two other figures that didn't seem like the homeless people, and stopped.
He began to think, if he could go somehow around them so they wouldn't notice him...

Feliciano ignored the angry man who would, admittedly, be much scary if he didn't seemed so worried about his weight i favor of dropping to his knees by the cat. The sleek black creature was slightly crushed on one side and a slick red liquid matted it's furr.
He looked to the stranger sadly his voice coming out low with heart break. "You- You killed it!"

He could try to fly... But they would be maybe able to hear him.... Should he take the risk?

Alfred looked down at the words, finally noticing the cat, "Oh crap!" He said, looking at the very cat that had scared him, "B-But ghost cat's can't die! It's faking." Yes. It was the only explainable explanation really. Because it had been a ghost cat...probably.

Ivan sighed. He had to take the risk. He wanted to find his journal before anyone else would be able to find it.
So he let his wings come out from under the cloack he wore.

Ivan has black wings, but the edges of the feathers are crimson.

He spreds his wings and slightly streched them as they had been quite some time under the cloack. He still had the hud on his head, hiding his horns, and his tail was hidden as well.

He then starts moving his wings, starting to get higher and higher, until he was high enough, and tried to fly over the two so that the they wouldn't notice him.

The italian closed his eyes, tears landing on the the dead feline in his arms. "You killed the cat! How could you-" "Feliciano, someone's nearby." Well yes the cat killer was, "UP" Well he'd always trusted his what? Conscience, intuition? Well whatever it was, it seemed to know the right thing to do, so he looked up.

On seeing the large winged creature he let out a squeak and grabbed for his white flag, "Mio Dio..."

Alfred looked at the cat, eyes wide as the cat inflated back to life and ran off. He stared at Feli, mouth slightly agape, "You're an angel?" But the other wasn't paying attention, instead looking up, Alfred looked up as well to the flying creature. Oh another angel. Two? So soon. Wow, what were the chances?

Ivan tried to ignore the two, as they noticed him and looked around if he could see his journal anywhere. Then he saw it. He actually found it!

"There~...!" He said happily to himself, before landing quite close actually to the two and picked the journal up, and smiled as it seemed to be alright and didn't have any damage on it.

Feliciano placed himself behind the first stranger he'd met too stare at the new one from a safer distance. "Wh-wh.... What are you?"

And why were all these big guys appearing around him? He'd just wanted to get back to the hotel...

Folding his wings, he looked at the two, and hid the journal quickly, his violet eyes slightly glowing.

Alfred felt the other shaking behind him as he stared at the slightly taller angel before him. Didn't seem very angelic but whatever, he didn't seem like a homeless person, smiling brightly, Alfred waved, "Hey, sorry about him, he seems to be scared easily."

Ivan nodded a bit slowly, then looked away a bit.
"It's fine... I'm used to it......" Ivan sighed, but then someone ran past him pretty fast, a little demon, and it took Ivan's journal!

Ivan hissed, like a demon, not sounding like an angel at all at the moment, and he cursed, quite loudly...

"Get the fuck back here, you little...!" He couldn't much control his own tongue, not that he cared really.
"Oh, what the hell!" He just took off the cloack because it was in the way, now showing that he also had demon horns and a tail, and then he took off after the little demon quite quickly, jumping to a wall, and then to another wall, disappearing behind a corner, and then pretty much attacking the little demon, making it scream a bit because of pain.

Blinking a bit in confusion, Alfred tilted his head at the horns and tails, angels didn't have those, but demons didn't usually have wings either. Maybe some sort of hybrid. Ha, cool. Though such creatures never stuck around for very long, this one probably wasn't any exception. Still, why fight over a notebook? Was there food in it? If not, Alfred couldn't see any other reason to fight over it. Food was the most important thing ever.

The demon-angel thing didn't seem to have any problem with hurting the little demon that took it though, considering the screams and everything, "What'd it take?" He asked innocently, faking ignorance to try and satisfy his curiosity. Maybe it was some sort of food disguised as a journal...maybe he should get something to eat soon, he had a one-track mind when he was hungry.
